The Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) is a Queensland Government-funded initiative designed to provide low-intensity supports that help individuals under 65 years old (or under 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) with disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, or other circumstances live independently and actively participate in their communities. It focuses on assisting with everyday tasks that may become challenging, such as personal care, household activities, and social connections, rather than doing everything for the person, to reduce isolation, promote ongoing independence, and enhance well-being.

We offer low-intensity supports to eligible people including:
Group Social Support: You can participate in group activities to build connections and reduce isolation. These may include:
Domestic Assistance: We can help you at home with tasks such as general cleaning, laundry services and shopping assistance.
Home Maintenance: We can provide essential yard maintenance to ensure safety in access and mobility around the external environment of the home.
Assistance with self-care and activities of daily living: We can assist you at home with daily self-care tasks so you can maintain appropriate standards of hygiene. These can include eating, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
Individual Social Support: This service helps you to access your local community for appointments, bill paying, banking and social outings.
Transport: We can help you to get to and from appointments and around the community.
Times of service will be discussed with you to best suit your needs. We will strive to meet your expectations and needs. Sometimes our service times may vary as determined by staff availability, but we will always notify you in advance. Fees for our services will be discussed at the time of your assessment.
